Bill LakenmacherPresident Bill Lakenmacher is the President of Locke Protective Services, Ltd. He started Locke in 1994. Previously Bill worked in Commercial Real Estate before he started his security career in 1989.
Bill is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a native Houstonian.
John Wood - Account Manager
Attention to detail and the ability to assess and meet the client's individual security needs are essential in developing a strong and successful security program.
John was brought on board the Locke team in January of 2001 as an Account Manager. His 18 years of security experience include Event Security, Body guard/ Escort, Public Safety and Security Management. John has been a licensed Security Officer since 1986 and earned his State Qualified Manager license in 1998. A 13 year involvement with Public Safety and Security for major market shopping malls in Houston and throughout the United States as a Corporate Transition Manager helped to mold his management skills. Managing multiple security programs to include Retail, High-Rise and industrial facilities has allowed John to share experiences and be ready for the next challenge.
Robert "Bob" Melancon -
Account Manager Bob Melancon brings extensive background knowledge in the private industry coupled with military security administration/management, totaling more than 35 years. Bob retired in June of 1990 after 24 years of service in the United States Air Force as a Senior Noncommissioned Officer with extensive knowledge in nuclear security applications.
Bob entered the private security industry in 1993 as an Operations Manager for a national company quickly promoting himself to District Management and Area Level Management. His knowledge of operations and security employment measures in the vertical markets of Petrochemical, Healthcare, Logistics, High Rise/Commercial Properties, Gated Communities and Industrials make Bob your advocate to ensure that you are receiving the level of service you expect and deserve.
Bob is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security, ASSIST and the Retired Noncommissioned Officers Association.
Debbie Mendez – Personnel Manager
An experienced human resources professional, thoroughly familiar with the security industry, energetic, and a highly skilled communicator and trainer. This person is key to a successful recruiting, screening, hiring and training program.
Debbie’s growth began within the security industry and went from security officer to security site director. She also has considerable knowledge in Retail Loss Prevention. These eighteen years of experience honed her ability to identify what it takes to be a good security officer, secondly what training is required and finally initiate training programs that security officers can understand. The opportunity to expand specific training programs that meet our officers and clients needs will continue to be Debbie’s challenge.
Roy Hight - Scheduler Roy is experienced in the security industry.
Roy joined Locke Protective Services in January 2008 as a Field Supervisor and was promoted to the Scheduler position in July 2008.
Roy’s primary responsibility as the Scheduler is to ensure that all of our clients manning requirements are met. In addition to his great organizational skills and interaction with our employees, Roy utilizes a highly sophisticated computerized scheduling program "Winteam" to accomplish this task. He is the focal point of our day to day operations.
Virginia Morrison – Office Manager/Bookkeeper Proven experience in handling complex problems, ability to handle multi- tasking and thoroughly completing every task with precision. These are the qualities we were seeking when we found Virginia.
Virginia has 35 years of customer service and accounting experience. Her primary responsibilities are payroll, benefits, accounts receivable, payables and collections. She over sees the issuance of insurance certificates for our Clients. She is a key player in our ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Virginia is a native Houstonian and a motorcycle enthusiast.
Norman Straight – Business Development As a Sales Representative Norman has 25+ years of experience. His can do attitude continues to amaze us. He has the expertise to bring Clients to realize the potential of hiring Locke Protective Services for all their security needs. These are the qualities we were looking for when we found Norman.
Stephanie Smith – Adminstrative Assistant As an Administrative Assistant Stephanie is an asset to Locke. She is enthusiastic when dealing with employees on a day to day basis. She uses her enthusiasm to help others in Human Resources, Scheduling and Sales/Marketing.
Brenda Stoneham – Secretary/ Receptionist
Brenda has several years of experience in the Security industry. Brenda's experience encompasses job sites from hospitals to hi-rise office buildings. Brenda has the proven ability to handle a variety of situations that arise each day. She has keen insights about people and has become an integral part of our screening and hiring processes.
